Springfree Trampoline, manufacturer of the world’s safest trampoline, has invested in new augmented reality (AR) and 3D technology to enhance the online experience for their customers. Although many stores have reopened since the COVID-19-related lockdowns, many report a decline in foot traffic. Sales at brick-and-mortar retail sites continue to decline while ecommerce has surged well above pre-coronavirus predictions. Consumers are becoming more comfortable making big purchases online without ever seeing the product in person. 
Like many retailers, the Texas-based company temporarily closed retail stores and suspended professional installation services this spring. With people limiting travel and looking for ways to entertain their kids at home, the trampoline category experienced tremendous growth. Springfree’s online sales have more than doubled this year. Experts anticipate the trend towards online sales will continue well into 2021.

“When COVID-19 necessitated a temporary closing of our stores and professional installation services earlier this year, it presented an opportunity to invest in enhancing the self-assembly experience for our customers,” says Springfree Trampoline USA General Manager Amy McIntee.  


In partnership with BILT Incorporated, the award-winning, Texas-based customer experience company, Springfree is introducing 3D interactive installation instructions on the BILT app. It is free to download and allows users to manipulate 3D animations to view product images from any angle using a touchscreen mobile device.

They will no longer need to guess when they select the appropriate shape and size. This technology combined with 3D installation assistance helps Springfree perfect the customer experience for online shopping.
