Summer is a great time of year for outdoor activities. The days are longer, the air is warmer, your Springfree Trampoline and backyard are arguably the best place to enjoy fresh air, cook outs, stargazing, movie nights on the outdoor screen, and lawn games. That’s right! Clear some space in the yard and get the whole family together for some competitive outdoor games! With the help of Canadian athlete, Rosie MacLennan, we came up with a few fun and challenging games to incorporate. We probably forgot some of your favourites, so be sure to add those in as well. Let the games begin!
Water Games
Time to fill up some water balloons! Have a water balloon fight, throw some on your Springfree and start jumping (who can pop the most), or make a colourful, water balloon piñata. Whichever game you choose, you’re guaranteed to get wet and stay cool in the sun!
Play Ball
Shoot some hoops and practice you slam dunk with your Springfree FlexrHoop. Whether it’s basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball, dodge or kickball, whatever ball, grab your favourite and get some good exercise in the backyard. You could even add some water to these games too! Use a super soaker to move the balls around instead of your hands and feet to make some goals.
Team Building Games
To just name a few…
- Tug of War
- Scavenger Hunt/Treasure Hunt
- Flag Football
- Red Rover
- Freeze Tag/Freeze Dance
- Group Jump Rope
- Red Light, Green Light
- Duck Duck Goose
- Three-Legged Race
Hula Hoop Games
Who can hula hoop the longest? Who can use the hoop to skip rope the longest? Use the hula hoops as a ring toss game, setup an obstacle course on the grass, dance with your hoop, or even try to hula hoop while on your Springfree! Can you keep your balance while hula hooping on the mat?
Arts & Crafts Outside
Do all the fun AND MESSY arts & crafts you can this summer! Draw with chalk on your Springfree mat, paper mache a mask, squirt paint, tie dye shirts, or make some hanging tree ornaments. Grab your paints, markers, crayons, glitter, construction paper, and all your other fun craft supplies and head to the backyard!
All-Star Obstacle Course
Create the ultimate, competitive obstacle course. Grab the balloons, pool noodles, water hose, hula hoops, beach balls, sidewalk chalk, painter’s tape, orange cones, tunnels, streamers, jump ropes, bean bags, buckets, flashlights, fairy lights, glow sticks and more! Design and create your very own All-Star Obstacle Course for the whole family to enjoy. Get creative! Get competitive! Cross the finish line! Go Team Go!
