Celebrated as one of Canada's most accomplished athletes, Karen's track record is one of excellence and accomplishment.  She is a ten time Canadian champion and a World Champion in Women's Trampoline and Synchronized Trampoline. Since trampoline's recognition as an Olympic sport in 2000, Karen is the only trampoline athlete to have won a medal at every Olympic Games having won Bronze in 2000 in Sydney, Silver in 2004 in Athens and Silver in 2008 in Beijing. Karen is one of only five Canadians to have won a medal in three consecutive Olympics Games. As a tribute to her success as a Canadian athlete, Karen was selected as Canada's flag bearer for the closing ceremonies of the Beijing 2008 Olympics, an honour held by a select few.

Karen, a native of Toronto began trampoline at the age of 11 and has represented her country in International competitions since the age of 15. In addition to individual trampoline, Karen and her partner Rosie MacLennan rank first in the world in synchronized trampoline with numerous Gold medal wins in world cup events since 2005.
