Maybe it is because I am from Texas but summer time means we are often cooking outside. Whether simply throwing hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, or getting a little fancy with more elaborate foods, it is barbecue season.

Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Wrappers

Kicking off the BBQ with tasty smoked appetizers is the best way to go. Fortunately, for me at least, my husband can make some pretty mean Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Wrappers. Luckily for you now, he has allowed me to share his super easy recipe for them.



  • Jalapeño peppers

  • Cream Cheese (amount depends on number of peppers)

  • Cheddar Cheese, shredded

  • Bacon

  • Toothpicks



  1. Slice each jalapeño pepper in half and remove the membranes. (leave seeds if you want them hotter)

  2. Mix cream cheese and shredded cheese in a bowl.

  3. Fill each sliced pepper with cream cheese mixture.

  4. Wrap each pepper with a slice of bacon and cut excess bacon accordingly.

  5. Secure each bacon wrapped jalapeno popper with a toothpick to hold it tightly together.

  6. Grill until bacon is completely cooked.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
