Maybe it is because I am from Texas but summer time means we are often cooking outside. Whether simply throwing hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, or getting a little fancy with more elaborate foods, it is barbecue season.
Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Wrappers
Kicking off the BBQ with tasty smoked appetizers is the best way to go. Fortunately, for me at least, my husband can make some pretty mean Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Wrappers. Luckily for you now, he has allowed me to share his super easy recipe for them.
Cream Cheese (amount depends on number of peppers)
Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Slice each jalapeño pepper in half and remove the membranes. (leave seeds if you want them hotter)
Mix cream cheese and shredded cheese in a bowl.
Fill each sliced pepper with cream cheese mixture.
Wrap each pepper with a slice of bacon and cut excess bacon accordingly.
Secure each bacon wrapped jalapeno popper with a toothpick to hold it tightly together.
Grill until bacon is completely cooked.
Serve and enjoy!
