You're in for a treat with these muffins! If you and your kids love bananas, this recipe is something you've got to try. They're healthy, delicious and are sure to be a hit at the breakfast table and a great source of energy before heading off to school for the day. Here's how to make Banana Walnut Muffins: 


1 muffin pan

1 large bowl

1 medium bowl

1 spatula

1 large mixing spoon

measuring cups & spoons


1 cup whole wheat flour

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

2 bananas

1/4 cup milk (skim or plain soy)

1 egg

1/2 tsp vanilla

2/3 cup walnuts


Grab a large bowl and mix the whole wheat flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a different bowl peel the two bananas and mash them with a fork until they are mostly mashed but still have some small chunks. Add the egg, vanilla and milk in with the bananas. Mix well. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and add the walnuts. Mix well again! Pour the mixture into a non-stick muffin pan, bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes and enjoy!
