What has been a highlight of your time working here?
Going to a professional photoshoot with Springfree’s five athlete ambassadors – Oh and then one of them (Rosie) winning a gold medal at the Olympics!

What do you like most about your job?
The freedom for creativity in my work and of course, I get to jump on trampolines!

What do you like most about the company?
The work environment is fantastic. Springfree cares about its employees.

What’s a funny/unique fact about yourself?
I’ve been on the Ellen DeGeneres Show – it doesn’t get much better than that!

Meet the Springfree Team: Julian

Introduce yourself.
My Name is Julian McNaughton and I’m a Marketing Intern for Springfree Trampoline. I’m 20 years old with a Diploma in Broadcasting-Journalism. Starting in January I’ll be working towards a degree in Business/Marketing.

How long have you been working at Springfree Trampoline?
I’ve been working at Springfree for five years now, since I was 15.

What is your job title and what does your job entail?
When I first started at Springfree, I worked in the warehouse as casual labor. Starting in February of 2012, about six months after I graduated, I moved into the Marketing department where I’m currently working as a Marketing intern. My main job as a Marketing intern is to coordinate events and prepare our events team for them. I also assist the marketing coordinator in marketing plans, promotions and development of product collateral.

What has been a highlight of your time working here?
The highlight of my time working at Springfree definitely has to be the National Home Show. The home show was my first major event. It was a long ten days but I enjoyed it. I learned a lot that I can apply to the work that I do now.

What do you like most about your job?
My favorite thing about being a Marketing intern is that I’m always learning something new. With different events happening every week, it allows for a change in the work pace which makes everything more enjoyable.

What do you like most about the company?
What I like most about the company, is its passion. The drive and the passion that the leaders of this company have is indescribable and it rubs off on us all.

What’s a funny/unique fact about yourself?
I am a HUGE soccer fan. Every Sunday during the soccer season, no matter what time, I wake up and watch my beloved Lazio play. When Italy won the 2006 World cup I weeped like a baby for days and when Italy lost in the Euro Cup final this summer I again weeped like a baby… Pathetic, I know.

What’s your favourite Springfree Trampoline model to bounce on?
Hands down my favourite Springfree model to jump on is the S113.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Springfree Trampolines?
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Springfree is quality. With quality, comes safety, durability and longevity.

What did you think about when you first jumped on a Springfree?
My first thought when I first jumped on a Springfree Trampoline, other than knowing instantaneously that it was the safest trampoline in the world, was how can I possibly incorporate a soccer net into the FlexiNet???

How to protect your trampoline during Hurricane Isaac

As Hurricane Isaac approaches the Gulf coast, we want to provide some tips on how to protect your Springfree Trampoline during inclement weather. In a storm, wind can pick up the trampoline mat and carry it away, posing a danger to families. First and foremost, assess the situation. If you anticipate severe and extreme weather, the trampoline should be moved to a sheltered location or disassembled.

If time allows and it is safe to go outside, follow these tips to keep your Springfree safe in inclement weather: Collapse the FlexiNet. Remove the white C-clips and pull the net rod out of the socket. This takes less than 10 minutes to do and will prevent your net rods from catching high wind. Secure the frame. You can use sandbags or a generic anchor kit from a hardware store to ensure your trampoline will stay put in a hurricane. We also sell a trampoline anchor made specifically for your Springfree. If you live in an area prone to high winds, it may be advisable to keep them on hand. Remember, trampolines that are not properly anchored have the potential to move and become airborne during severe weather. Stay safe by taking preventative measures. Rosie MacLennan visits Springfree for a Photoshoot!

Last week Canada’s gold medalist and Springfree ambassador Rosie MacLennan stopped by our Markham office for the first time since being home from the London 2012 Olympics!

However, her visit was for more than just a hello – we were bringing Rosie in for a photoshoot.

Local photographer James Heaslip took some fantastic shots of Rosie with her brand new gold medal. There a lot of laughs, outfit changes and set ups, and all of the photos turned out great!

Check out the video below for a behind the scenes look at our photoshoot with Rosie and some updates on the golden girl’s busy week since being home (you’ll even get a sneak peek at a few of the final photos)!
